Another question has been asked to our expert Salesforce developers. The question was “how do you create a tab panel within the Salesforce CRM.” In this Salesforce blogpost we will give you step by step instructions on how to achieve this.

When a Salesforce user clicks a tab header, the tab’s associated content displays and then it hides the content of other tabs.

Step1 –

Go to Setup → Build → Develop → Pages

Click on the “New Button” to create a new page:

Create a Visualforce page with the name tabbed account or anything else. In the the field type “tabbed account” name the field accordingly as you wish.

<apex:tabPanel switchType=”client” selectedTab=”tabdetails” id=”AccountTabPanel”>

<apex:tab label=”Details” name=”AccDetails” id=”tabdetails”>

<apex:detail relatedList=”false” title=”true”/>

</apex:tab>

<apex:tab label=”Contacts” name=”Contacts” id=”tabContact”>

<apex:relatedList subject=”{!account}” list=”contacts” />

</apex:tab>

<apex:tab label=”Opportunities” name=”Opportunities” id=”tabOpp”>

<apex:relatedList subject=”{!account}” list=”opportunities” />

</apex:tab>

<apex:tab label=”Open Activities” name=”OpenActivities” id=”tabOpenAct”>

<apex:relatedList subject=”{!account}” list=”OpenActivities” />

</apex:tab>

</apex:tabPanel>

</apex:page>

Step 4 – Open the Visualforce page in your browser and it should be displayed as the following image below.
